NUMINOS MOVE XS is a recessed downlight 8 cm across and 5.5 cm deep, in white. The series name refers to the moving head: the insert rotates on its axis and tilts, so the direction of the light is set after it is built into the ceiling.
A moving head
The maker specifies rotation on a bar plus tilt. In practice that means the same ceiling opening can light a worktop one day and a picture on the wall the next — without moving the fitting or cutting the board again.
The beam is 40°, accent width. The glare index UGR is no more than 22 and colour rendering is Ra 90 — high enough that fabric, timber and leather keep their true colour, which matters on a directional fitting over a display.
It needs a separate driver
The fitting is protection class III and runs on a 200 mA current circuit. It does not connect straight to 230 V — it needs a 200 mA constant-current driver, which the maker does not supply; SLV lists them under accessories, including DALI-dimmable versions.
That is a decision that belongs with the purchase: one driver usually feeds several fittings on a circuit, so the choice follows from the number of points rather than from a single unit.
Installation and light
The cut-out is round and the installation depth is 8 cm — that much clear space has to exist above the ceiling board. The fitting itself weighs 135 g.
The 7 W module gives 730 lm at 4000 K, a neutral white. The maker states 50,000 hours at L80B50, meaning that after that time half the fittings still hold at least 80% of their initial output. Permitted ambient temperature runs from −20 to 40 °C, and IK02 impact resistance corresponds to 0.2 joules.
