Outdoor wall lamp STOCKHOLM 1600GA hot-dip galvanised 8W 3000K - NORLYS

Stockholm 1600GA is an outdoor wall light with a front of hot-dip galvanised steel that wraps the milky diffuser in three horizontal rings. The base of the fitting is powder-coated cast aluminium, and the diffuser is milky, UV-stabilised polycarbonate. The manufacturer describes the design as Scandinavian.

Size and mounting

The light is 23.5 cm high and 21 cm wide and projects 14 cm from the wall. It weighs 2.7 kg. It fixes through two ø5 mm holes on an 80 × 80 mm pattern.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the next fitting can be fed in a loop with cable up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights on one wall run from a single supply line. The gland takes round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class I and must be connected to a protective earth.

What light it gives

The source is an integrated mains-voltage LED module, 8 W at 3000 K warm white and CRI 80. The module itself gives 743 lm, and 240 lm of soft, diffused light leaves through the milky diffuser — enough to light an entrance or a stretch of wall, but not a whole garden. The manufacturer gives a ULOR of 45.72%, so almost half the light goes upwards and also brightens the wall above the fitting.

The fitting is phase-dimmable with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers. The LED module is replaced by a professional service, and the manufacturer stocks a service kit for this fitting as a spare part. According to the card, the module lifetime is L70 over 55,000 h.

Finish and durability

Hot-dip galvanising is a zinc coating on the steel, not a paint — which is why this version has no RAL number and shows the metallic grey of bare zinc, unlike the black 1600BL. IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, and impact class IK10 means resistance to a 20 J impact.

The manufacturer intends the light for gardens and private grounds; it suits a front entrance or a balcony as well as the entrances of hotels and restaurants.
