The Lutec GEMINI 5189101118 is an outdoor wall light shaped as a rectangular block 22 cm wide, 8.5 cm tall, projecting 10.3 cm. The manufacturer calls it the medium version of the GEMINI family — intended for larger external walls and entrances where the smaller variants give too narrow an effect.

Light in two directions

The fitting emits up and down at once through narrow elongated clear-glass covers. At a fixture output of 1230 lm that means two broad bands of light spread across the wall plane — which is why the manufacturer describes it as covering the full surface in both directions rather than as a point accent. The difference between the two quoted figures is worth knowing: the LED module generates 2200 lm, but 1230 lm leaves the fitting — the second number is what actually lights the wall, and it is the one to compare against other products.

Colour and operating conditions

4000 K is natural white — cooler than the 2700–3000 K usual indoors, but easier to read on a facade and better at showing the texture of render or stone. CRI 80 is the standard for exterior lighting. Construction and installation

The body is die-cast aluminium in an anthracite finish — the material and process typical of fittings meant to survive many seasons outdoors. The fitting weighs 1.15 kg.
