Bremen 637BL is a round Norlys outdoor wall light, 28 cm in diameter and 14 cm deep. Two horizontal guard bars cross the opal diffuser, and the housing is finished in black, RAL 9005.
What kind of light it gives
The opal UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser spreads the light, so no point source is visible and the wall around the fitting is lit evenly. The 8 W LED module delivers 364 lm at 3000 K, a warm white close to a traditional bulb. Colour rendering is Ra 80, and a ULOR of 15% means part of the output also goes upwards.
The fitting is phase-dimmable: the manufacturer allows both trailing-edge and leading-edge dimmers, so any phase dimmer rated for LED loads will do.
Light source and servicing
The LED module is built in and included, so there is no bulb to buy. Norlys states an L70 lifetime of more than 59,000 h. The module may only be replaced by a service agent or a qualified electrician, and Norlys offers a dedicated service kit for this fitting.
Installation and durability
The light is screwed to the wall through two ø4.2 mm holes spaced 155 × 40 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow through-wiring to the next fitting with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights on one wall can run from a single line. The gasket accepts a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to the protective earth.
IP54 allows outdoor mounting, including without a canopy, and IK10 is the highest impact-resistance rating — useful where the light hangs low or within reach of passers-by. The Bremen series also offers the same light in a hot-dip galvanised finish (637GA).
