TORRE SLI003010WW is an outdoor wall light in a rectangular grey aluminium body. It emits two 45° beams — the 2x3LED marking in the manufacturer's name describes two groups of three CREE diodes. The light source is built in and comes with the fitting.

How big it is and where to mount it

The body measures 172 x 108 x 63 mm; the longest edge is the figure to compare with the space left beside a front door or a window. The fitting is surface-mounted on a finished wall, with no cut-out required.

IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction, so TORRE can work on a façade, under an entrance canopy and on a terrace wall; the manufacturer intends it for both outdoor and indoor use. The operating temperature range is -20 to +40 °C. The fitting is protection class I, so it needs a supply with an earth conductor — worth checking before choosing the wall outlet.

How much light it gives

Luminous flux is 400 lm at 6 W, which works out at 66 lm/W. That is roughly half of what an old 60 W bulb produced, and the 45° beam angle gathers the light into two narrow bands instead of washing the whole wall — this is a fitting for picking out a section of façade, not for lighting a driveway.

3000 K is warm white with a slightly yellow cast. A colour rendering index of Ra 80 is adequate outdoors, but lower than the figures chosen where colours have to match exactly. The manufacturer also states colour consistency SDCM 5: install several of these side by side and the shade of white may differ slightly between units.

Power supply and running it

The fitting runs on 230 V, 50 Hz and draws 50 mA; the driver is included, so nothing extra has to be bought to put it into service. Dimming is not provided for — the brightness stays fixed.

The diodes are permanently built in and cannot be replaced. The manufacturer quotes 17 000 hours of life and 15 000 switching cycles, and the fitting carries a two-year warranty. The cycle count matters where the light is driven by a motion sensor and switches on many times a day.
