Outdoor Wall Light Zambelis E243 LED 7W 480 lm 3000K Graphite IP54 Aluminium 15x15 cm

The Zambelis E243 is a square outdoor wall light, 15 cm to a side, standing just 6 cm off the wall. The face is not flat: the aluminium is folded into several triangular planes like a sheet of paper, and a triangular notch is left in the lower part, which is where the light comes out.

The light goes downward

That notch is the only opening in the body, so the output falls onto the wall beneath the fitting and draws a triangular patch on it. This is a light that marks rather than illuminates: 480 lumens will pick out an entrance, a house number, a gatepost or a section of façade, but will not light a driveway or a terrace. Lighting an area calls for something several times stronger.

Colour and light quality

3000 K is a warm white — on a façade it reads as welcoming and does not chill render or timber. Colour rendering of CRI 80 is normal for outdoor lighting. The colour consistency figure is worth noting: SDCM < 5.75 means that if you buy several for a run along a fence, a noticeable difference in white tone between units is within tolerance — if they are to hang side by side, order them together, from one batch.

Durability — what IP54 actually means

IP54 is protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction — rain will do it no harm, but it is not jet-proof. It should not be cleaned with a pressure washer or fitted anywhere water strikes it under pressure. The IK04 impact rating corresponds to a 0.5 J blow: enough for an accidental knock, not for a location exposed to vandalism. The −30 to +45 °C operating range covers a Central European winter with room to spare.

Installation

The fitting has neither cable nor plug — it wires permanently into a 230 V supply, and protection class I means an earth conductor has to be connected. Installation is therefore an electrician's job. There is no dimming: it runs on/off. The LED module is integrated and the declared lifetime is 30,000 hours to the L70B50 criterion — meaning that after that time half the fittings still hold at least 70% of their initial output. At three hours a night that works out to roughly 27 years. The manufacturer gives a 3-year warranty.
