Antita is a pendant lamp with a smoked glass shade 30 cm across. The shade is a low, wide bowl broken into vertical wedge-shaped facets, while the ceiling rose, suspension and lampholder are black. The glass is see-through, so the bulb stays visible through the shade.

Size and hanging height

The shade measures 30 cm in diameter. The manufacturer gives a height of 35 cm and a total height of 108 cm — the second figure is how much room the fitting takes up from the ceiling downwards, so it is the one to compare against your own ceiling height.

Over a dining table with a top at 75 cm, the lower edge of the shade should sit 70–80 cm above the tabletop. At 30 cm the shade is smaller than the 40 cm that keeps the proportion over a table 80–90 cm wide — above a longer top, Antita works better as one of several than on its own.

The fitting has one light point with an E27 thread and takes bulbs of up to 40 W. That is the limit of the lampholder, not the lamp's consumption. The manufacturer allows both classic bulbs and LED, and supplies no bulb with the fitting — colour temperature and brightness are yours to choose.

Because the glass is see-through, the bulb is part of how the lamp looks: its envelope and filament show through the shade. The smoked pane dims and softens the light passing through it rather than stopping it, so the whole surface of the shade lights up, not only the area beneath the lamp.
