DANNY WALL is a metal wall lamp with a bell-shaped shade on a short arm joined by a knurled brass-coloured knuckle. The body is black, the inside of the shade white, and a round base plate screws to the wall. A push button sits on the back of the shade.

How it is aimed and how much room it needs

The shade tilts through 180° and rotates through 350°, so once mounted the lamp can be pointed down onto a book, sideways along the wall or up at the ceiling without moving the base. All the light goes one way — the shade is opaque and nothing escapes above the fitting.

The shade is 12.7 cm across and 14 cm tall, and the maker gives a depth of 23 cm; its own drawing dimensions the reach at 25 cm, because a tilted shade stands further out. The base plate is 10 cm across and 2.5 cm deep — it is what covers the wiring box and sets the clear area to leave on the wall. The lamp weighs 558 g, or 672 g packed.

Build

Shade, arm and base are metal, painted matt black; only the knurled adjusting knob and the ring at the base are brass-coloured. The lead between base and shade runs in a black braid and stays visible — it is part of the moving joint.
