NYC/CONNY 35 is a Rendl floor lamp on a slim, straight column with a round base, both in chrome. The top carries a tapered shade that widens towards the bottom, covered in Monaco fabric in dove grey; the variant designation also lists silver PVC. The lamp stands 152 cm tall.
How much space it takes and where it fits
The base is 23 cm across, but the shade decides the space next to a sofa, armchair or bed: 35 cm in diameter and 30 cm high. Beside a wall or a bookcase you therefore need a clear circle of at least 35 cm, and the lower edge of the shade sits roughly 122 cm above the floor — a figure to compare with the backrest of the furniture the lamp will stand next to.
The cable is 180 cm long and has an in-line switch. The socket can be almost two metres from the base, and the lamp is switched on without reaching under the shade. It weighs 2.81 kg.
Which bulb and how much light
The lamp has an E27 lampholder and is designed for LED sources of up to 15 W. No bulb is included — Rendl names the LED E27 lamp with catalogue number G13026 as a match. The 15 W limit leaves plenty of headroom: an LED drawing about 8–9 W gives roughly 800 lm, the output of an old 60 W bulb, while a stronger source close to the limit exceeds 1500 lm, which is main-light level.
You choose the light colour with the bulb: 2700 K is warm, slightly yellowish light close to a traditional incandescent, 4000 K is neutral white. The lamp runs on 230 V mains and needs nothing extra on the supply side.
Which rooms it suits
The lamp is intended for the living room, bedroom and children's room, as well as dining rooms and hotel and restaurant interiors — anywhere a light source is needed beside a place to sit or lie down. The style is modern: a smooth shade without ornament, a single grey tone and a mirror-polished chrome column.
Rendl also offers the same model with a white polycotton shade and with a Monaco shade in petrol blue, so several lamps from the range can be matched to different rooms without changing the form.
