RON 55/30 is a textile drum lampshade 55 cm across and 30 cm high. The Monaco fabric is petrol blue — a blue with a green cast — with a clearly visible weave, and the inside is lined with silver PVC. An E27 lampholder sits in the top of the shade.
How large it is and what it suits
55 cm is a large shade: for comparison, a Ø40 cm shade keeps its proportions over a table 80–90 cm wide, so this one belongs over a broader top of around 110–120 cm, or on a tall floor lamp, where a smaller diameter is lost against the body of the furniture.
At 30 cm high the shade screens the lamp from the side — looking straight at it you do not see the bulb. The whole thing weighs 500 g, so it loads neither a suspension nor a stand.
What you have to buy alongside it
The shade has its own E27 lampholder, but no lamp, no suspension and no base — it is a system part, not a finished luminaire. To use it you need a ceiling base, a pendant kit or a floor or table stand; the manufacturer names the HEX, ELISA, ENZO, ETRE, LISA, POSTE, TRIX and KOMBIX ranges as suitable.
The maximum lamp rating is 23 W. That limit is on the lamp's power draw, not on brightness: an E27 LED of around 1500 lm stays well inside it, while an old 100 W incandescent does not. A PMMA diffuser (G11868 or G12300) can be ordered separately; it closes the shade at the bottom and softens the light falling straight onto the floor.
Fabric and lining
The outer layer is Monaco fabric, fairly dense and not translucent, so light leaves mainly through the top and bottom of the shade rather than through its walls. The silver PVC lining throws the output downwards onto the surface below the lamp instead of absorbing it.
