Santa Neo is a surface-mounted LED ceiling spotlight by s.luce from the Santa series. It has a white metal housing shaped like a low cylinder and a black disc-shaped head that rotates and tilts — the head directs the light where it is needed.
Size and installation
The housing is 10.8 cm across and only 5 cm high, so it takes up little room on the ceiling and needs no recess or suspended ceiling — it mounts directly on the ceiling surface. The head rotates through 360° and tilts by 70°, which lets you light a particular piece of furniture, a picture or a worktop rather than the whole room.
The spotlight is wired permanently to the 230 V installation. It is protection class I, so the ceiling box needs a protective earth (PE) conductor. The IP20 rating makes it suitable for dry interiors.
What light it gives
The light source is a built-in 11 W LED board producing 840 lm — the manufacturer compares it with an 80 W traditional bulb. At 4000 K the light is neutral white, and a colour rendering index above CRI 92 means colours look natural under it. The 39.3° beam angle gives a clearly focused pool of light, typical of an accent spotlight.
The LED board is not replaced by the user: the manufacturer provides for its replacement by its own service staff. The spotlight can be dimmed with a phase-cut dimmer, either leading-edge or trailing-edge. Its energy efficiency class is F.
Which interiors it suits
A plain geometric form without decoration makes this a modern design. The manufacturer intends the spotlight for the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, corridor and hallway, as well as offices and basements. The Santa series also includes recessed, pendant, wall and outdoor versions.
