S054-15 surface ceiling spot LED 9 W 3000K 15° matt white, adjustable, Zambelis

S054-15 is a surface-mounted narrow-beam ceiling spot — a cylindrical body 6 cm across on a rotating mount, 20 cm tall overall, in matt white. Zambelis positions it as a professional fitting and the figures bear that out: 9 W delivering 1000 lumens at CRI 90.

15 degrees: this is a spotlight, not general lighting

The defining figure here is the 15° beam. From 250 cm above the floor that beam draws a pool roughly 60 cm across — a narrow, clearly bounded circle of light. It is a tool for lighting a painting, a sculpture, a window display or a single architectural element, not for brightening a room. If you want even light this is the wrong fitting — Zambelis builds the same model in 24° (S054-24) and 40° (S054-40).

CRI 90

A colour rendering index of 90 is consistent with that use. If the fitting exists to pick out one object, that object's colour has to be faithful — at CRI 80 reds and browns lose saturation, which shows immediately on a painting or a fabric.

Adjustment

The body rotates and tilts, so the direction is set after installation without moving the fixing point. With a 15° beam that adjustment is not a convenience but a condition of use: a few degrees of tilt shifts the pool by tens of centimetres.

Supply and control

An On/Off 250 mA driver is supplied with the fitting — connect 230 V and the spot is ready. In this configuration it is not dimmable. Zambelis does allow operation with a DALI driver, ordered separately; that is the route to dimming and to control-system integration, but it means changing the driver, not the fitting.

Operating conditions

The fitting is protection class I and requires an earth conductor; IP20 places it in dry rooms. The −25 to +50 °C range covers unheated interiors too. The declared L80B50 life of 50,000 hours means that after that time half the fittings will still hold at least 80% of their initial output.
