S152 is a surface-mounted spot in cube form, 9 Γ 9 cm on plan and 11.5 cm tall. The aluminium body is finished in black with a sandy, faintly rough texture, and inside sits an adjustable GU10 lampholder, set well back into the housing.
Mounting with no hole to cut
The fitting screws onto a finished ceiling and needs neither an opening nor a void above β the maker states outright that no cut-out and no recess depth are provided for. That is the answer for a concrete slab, a joist, or a suspended ceiling that has already been closed up.
The fitting is protection class I, so an earth conductor has to be present at the box. Permitted ambient temperature runs from β30 to 45 Β°C, which covers an unheated garage or a loft.
An adjustable head
The inside of the cube turns and tilts, so the direction of the light is set after mounting. On a spot that is the difference between light falling straight down and a beam aimed at a wall, a picture or a shelf β without moving the fitting itself.
The lamp sits deep in the housing, so from the side you see a dark interior rather than a glowing bulb. That limits glare, but it also narrows the output to whatever the aperture takes in.
Which lamp to fit
The GU10 holder is included; the lamp is not. The maker permits up to 40 W β a limit rather than the fitting's own power; a current GU10 LED giving 400β600 lm draws 5β7 W and stays well inside it. Beam angle and colour come with the lamp you choose, so the same fitting can be an accent or a general light.
No dimming is provided on the fitting's side. The body is aluminium throughout, the fitting weighs 0.5 kg with its packaging, and the maker gives a three-year warranty.
