SANTELO is a low aluminium bollard, 24 cm tall and 12 cm across. The cylindrical body in matt black stands on a round base, and the light leaves through a single recessed lens near the top of one side – this is not a fitting that glows all round, but a directional beam pointed one way.

What that beam is for

A narrow beam from low down lights whatever sits right beside it: the edge of a path, a step, a strip of border, the base of a wall. 175 lm is deliberately modest – the job is to mark a route and pick up the texture of the surface, not to brighten the garden. Warm 3000 K keeps planting and timber from washing out.

Made to stay outside

IP65 means full dust protection and resistance to water jets, so the fitting can stay in the garden all year, through rain and through hosing down the terrace. The body is aluminium rather than plastic, a material that does not go brittle in sunlight. It runs on 230 V mains, so it needs wiring – this is not a solar light.
