NUMINOS® DL L is an SLV recessed ceiling downlight 13 cm across, in a white-and-chrome finish. It belongs to the NUMINOS system, where downlights and spotlights share a common geometry and accessories.

The key point before buying: the driver is bought separately

The fitting runs in protection class III at a constant 700 mA — meaning it is not connected directly to 230 V. It requires an external LED driver, which is not included; SLV names driver 1004062 (21–29.5 W, 500/600/700 mA) as the matching unit. Without it the fitting will not work. This is normal for professional downlight systems — one driver can serve several fittings — but it catches people out on a first order.

Light: a narrow beam of high quality

25.41 W gives 2200 lumens at a 20° angle — an accent beam, not general lighting. From 2.5 m it draws a pool roughly 80 cm across. The figures that separate this from cheaper downlights: CRI 90 and UGR ≤ 19, the glare level standards require for office spaces. The colour is a warm 3000 K, and rated life is L80B50 50,000 hours.

Installation

The cut-out is ø11.7 cm with a 9 cm depth — deeper than typical shallow downlights, so check the void above the ceiling before ordering. The fitting itself is 13 cm across and 8.5 cm high. The body is aluminium with a polycarbonate lens. The IP20 / IP44 code means it is splash-protected from the room side, and impact resistance is IK02.

Operating conditions and accessories

Ambient temperature range is −20 to +40 °C. For the L model SLV offers diffusers that change the character of the light: prismatic 1004795 and frosted 1004796, plus reducing ring 1006143. The manufacturer's warranty is 5 years.
