Trio ELIO table lamp 517800154 black, smoked glass, E27

The Trio ELIO 517800154 is a compact table lamp combining a black cylindrical fabric shade with a rounded smoked-glass body. A metal base and the stem visible through the glass give the lower section dark outlines. Its character comes from the contrast between an opaque shade and a transparent body rather than elaborate ornament.

Check the space beside a bed or on a cabinet

The complete lamp stands 28.5 cm high and measures 13.5 cm in diameter. Compare the shade diameter with the available tabletop before positioning it, especially where other bedside items share the surface. Check the overall height against any shelf above it, too. The manufacturer's drawing gives the base a diameter of 12 cm and the shade a height of 16 cm, so the base footprint is smaller than the lamp's overall width.

Trio identifies living rooms and bedrooms as intended settings and suggests a chest of drawers or bedside table. ELIO therefore provides an additional lighting point on bedroom or living-room furniture. Black fabric, smoked glass and simple geometry support its modern styling. This fixed shade-and-base arrangement is different from a task lamp with an adjustable directional head.

Choose an E27 bulb separately

The fitting takes one replaceable E27 bulb rated at no more than 40 W. No bulb is supplied. The manufacturer recommends LED, but the light colour and output depend on the separately selected bulb. The 40 W figure is a maximum permitted rating, not a statement of the lamp's brightness or the consumption of every compatible bulb.

The assembly diagram shows the shade placed over the lampholder and secured with a ring before fitting the bulb. An inline cable switch controls on and off, so leave access to it when arranging the furniture. The documentation does not establish a built-in dimmer: choosing a dimmable bulb alone does not establish dimming for the complete setup.
