V-TAC VT-8094 corner-mounted motion sensor

The V-TAC VT-8094 is a black infrared motion sensor for automatic control of a connected lighting circuit. Its compact PC housing has a profile suited to a corner installation, while the visible Fresnel lens provides detection across a broad area. The unit operates on AC 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz and carries an IP65 protection rating.

Settings for a tailored response

• 240° detection angle;
• maximum detection distance of 10 m at temperatures below 24°C;
• adjustable time delay, ambient-light threshold and detection distance;
• ambient-light adjustment below 3–2000 lux;
• maximum LED load of the controlled circuit: 600 W.

Useful placement around a building

The wide detection angle can cover two directions from a building corner, a passage, gate or covered entrance. Before installation, plan the sensor’s field of view and cable route so fixed architectural elements do not unnecessarily restrict detection. IP65 supports use where the device is exposed to dust and water jets, while the electrical connection should always be made in accordance with the installation requirements.

Size and finish

The sensor measures 125.2 × 71.4 × 72.7 mm. Its black housing can blend neatly with dark façades, profiles or mounting components. This is an automation component rather than a light fitting: the 600 W figure is the maximum LED load of the circuit it controls, not the sensor’s own light output. The manufacturer specifies a two-year warranty.
