Outdoor wall light Norlys VASA 128WH white LED 8.5W 3000K

The Vasa 128 is an outdoor wall light with a half-round cast aluminium body, powder-coated white (RAL 9003). It shines up and down at the same time through two clear polycarbonate covers, drawing two beams on the facade. Inside are two integrated LED modules at 3000 K.

Size and wall mounting

The body is 31 cm wide and 12.5 cm high and projects 15.5 cm from the wall. Compare these figures with the space beside your door or between two windows: the light is clearly wider than it is tall, and from the side it looks like a flattened half-cylinder. It weighs 2.27 kg.

It fixes either through an intermediate plate with two 5 × 10 mm adjustment slots at 45 mm centres, or directly through two ø5 mm holes at 68 mm centres. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and loop-through wiring to the next fitting up to 3 × 1.5 mm², with a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. Several lights along one wall can therefore run from a single supply line; the manufacturer states that up to 157 of them fit on one B 10 A circuit breaker.

How much light, and what kind

The two LED modules draw 6.6 W together and produce 1128 lm, while the complete light emits 631 lm at 8.5 W. Half of that output goes upwards and half downwards, so the fitting mainly lights the band of wall above and below it rather than the ground in front of the house. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of CRI 80 is ample for an entrance or a facade.

The light is dimmable, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) phase dimmer.

Build, sealing and servicing

IP65 means a dust-tight housing that withstands water jets from any direction, so the light can hang on an exposed wall. Impact resistance IK08 protects the covers against an accidental knock. The fitting is protection class I, so it must be connected to the protective earth conductor.

The light source is integrated but not disposable: a professional service can replace both the LED modules and the driver, and Norlys stocks separate service kits for them. The manufacturer rates the modules at L80B20 over 72,000 hours and the driver at 50,000 hours. The plain half-round shape without ornament suits a modern facade.
