V-TAC VT-1179-W 10444 is a white LED wall light with a cylindrical body mounted on a rectangular wall plate. Light leaves two sides of the cylinder to form an up-and-down pattern on the wall. The fitting is 13 cm wide, with a 9 cm body diameter and 7 cm depth, making it a compact point on a façade or bathroom wall.

500 lm of neutral white light

The integrated SMD LED module consumes 5 W and emits 500 lm, equivalent to 100 lm per watt. A colour temperature of 4000 K gives neutral white light without the yellow tone of a warm source. CRI above 80 indicates standard colour rendering for practical lighting. The source forms part of the luminaire, so no separate bulb is needed. This wall light is not dimmable and operates at full output when switched on.

Up-and-down lighting effect

Two opposing directions create areas of light above and below the body. A 90° angle spreads each beam more broadly than a narrow spotlight and covers a visible section of wall. The combined 500 lm output is intended primarily to define a façade, entrance, corridor or mirror area rather than illuminate a large space alone. The final form and intensity of the marks will depend on the colour and texture of the mounting surface.

IP65 for outdoor and damp locations

The aluminium housing carries an IP65 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against water jets. This supports installation on an exposed façade, beside an entrance or along an outdoor circulation route. In a bathroom, the location must comply with the applicable electrical safety zones. A 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply requires a permanent electrical connection completed by a suitably qualified installer.

Dimensions and operating data

The body measures 90 × 70 × 130 mm and weighs 0.81 kg. The manufacturer specifies a 20,000-hour module life, more than 15,000 switching cycles and a two-year warranty. White finish covers both the cylinder and mounting plate, so its contrast with the wall can be assessed before installation. The power-feed position, suitable fixings and cable-entry sealing should all be prepared before the base is secured.
