LUNAR MS238130-WH is a ceiling light built from four interlocking rings, 61.1 × 48.3 cm and 12.3 cm deep, in white with chrome. It delivers 5300 lumens at 55 W, with a variable colour temperature of 3000–6000 K and an infrared remote.
Four rings, not one disc
This fitting is not a circle – it is four rings of different diameters overlapping each other on two levels. Hence the unusual dimensions: 61.1 cm at the widest point and 48.3 cm across, rather than a single diameter.
That has a practical consequence when planning. Over a round table a 48 cm fitting looks nothing like a composition stretched to 61 cm – it is worth laying the outline out on the floor before committing to a fixing point, because the shape has a clear orientation and cannot be rotated after installation without taking it down.
Variable colour and the remote
This is what separates the model from an ordinary LED ceiling light. The 3000–6000 K range covers warm, neutral and cool white – one fitting therefore serves both an evening in the living room and work at the table.
Control is by infrared remote (supplied with the fitting), which adjusts both colour and brightness. Infrared means the remote works in line of sight of the fitting – not through a wall as radio systems do; within a single room that is no real limitation.
The manufacturer states plainly what this fitting does not have: no RGB colour change and no battery backup – after a power cut and switch-on the settings return to their default.
5300 lumens – how much room is that
5300 lm from one fitting is a lot. At a living-room level of 150–200 lx a single LUNAR will serve a room of roughly 25–30 m² as general lighting; in a smaller room it is headroom you only use once you dim it.
Worth remembering: switched to cool white, the same 5300 lm reads as brighter – the eye perceives cool light as stronger at the same power.
Build and installation
Construction in metal and plastic, in white with chrome. Only 12.3 cm deep – a ceiling fitting, not a pendant, so it suits standard room heights.
Supply 230 V, LED permanently integrated (no lamp to change). IP20 – dry rooms. At 2.53 kg the fixing must suit the ceiling material; in plasterboard you need to hit the structure or use an anchor rated for the load.
The product contains a light source of energy efficiency class D. The model is also available in black (MS238130-BK).
