Aldex Pure Table White 1064B is a white table lamp with a spherical shade made from milky, matt glass. The 14 cm glass globe sits on a bent metal arm above a slender stem and a flat, circular base. Its metal parts have a matt white powder-coated finish.

A taller lamp for a desk or bedside table

The lamp is 62 cm high, with an overall width of 24 cm and depth of 30 cm. Before placing it on a bedside table, dresser or desk, compare those dimensions with the available surface and any shelf above it. The width and depth describe the complete fitting, not just its base: the projecting globe also needs space.

The manufacturer identifies bedside tables, dressers and desks as suitable positions, and living rooms and dining rooms as settings for supplementary lighting. On a desk, consider where the globe will sit in relation to a monitor and books. Checking the stated height is more useful than judging the lamp's scale from a photograph alone.

One E14 socket inside a glass globe

The fitting uses one E14 light source. Milky, matt glass diffuses light around the shade rather than producing the open, directional beam associated with an opaque reflector. Brightness and light colour depend on the source fitted; the lamp's white finish does not establish a particular colour temperature.
