Asker 1511WH outdoor wall light, white RAL 9003, LED 8.8W 3000K, downlight - NORLYS

Asker 1511WH is an outdoor wall light shaped as a rectangular box in cast aluminium, powder-coated white (RAL 9003). The front measures 22.5 × 11 cm and the fitting projects 8.5 cm from the wall. Light leaves only through the bottom, via a clear structured polycarbonate diffuser.

What light it gives and what it suits

The integrated LED module draws 8.8 W. The module produces 840 lm, but 156 lm leave the fitting because the light is diffused and directed downwards in a half-sphere, which is less than an old 25 W bulb. This is orientation and accent lighting: a bright arc on the wall below, a lit doorstep, a house number or a stretch of fence, not light for a whole yard. ULOR 0% and BUG class B0-U0-G0 mean nothing shines upwards, into neighbours' windows or the sky.

3000 K is warm white, and CRI 80 keeps the natural colours of the facade and plants. It can be dimmed with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) phase dimmers, so it also works with older dimmers. There is no bulb to buy; the LED module is replaced by a professional service, and the maker gives an L70 lifetime of over 55,000 h.

Mounting and connection

The fitting is screwed on through two ø4.5 mm holes spaced 180 × 60 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop on to the next fitting (up to 3 × 1.5 mm²), with round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter, so several wall lights on one facade can run from one line. It is protection class I and must be connected to the earth conductor. It weighs 1.35 kg.

Build

The polycarbonate diffuser is UV-stabilised, the housing is sealed with silicone and the cable enters through an EPDM gland. The result is IP65, so it can hang on an uncovered wall in rain and dust, and impact resistance IK08. The plain modern form without ornament suits a house facade, an entrance, a balcony or a fence, as well as venues such as a hotel or restaurant.
