Asker Pole Pro 5222BL Black LED Lighting Column by NORLYS

Asker Pole Pro 5222BL is a three-metre lighting column with a rectangular head cantilevered to one side. The body is a two-segment aluminium profile powder coated in black RAL 9005, and the light leaves through a hermetic lens of transparent PMMA sealed with silicone. The LED module is built in, so no separate light source has to be bought.

Dimensions and how it is founded

The column stands 300 cm tall, the head reaches 48.5 cm to the side and the base occupies a 24 cm square. It weighs 10 kg and the package is 232.5 cm long.

The base flange has four holes for M14 pins at 180 × 180 mm spacing and matches a B 50 concrete foundation. The ground anchor 180GA0009, the concreting anchor 3091GA0009 and the mounting adapter 1259GA0009 are separate articles bought separately. The terminal block takes conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allows the supply to be looped through to the next column; the cable should have a round sheath 8–12 mm or 10–13.6 mm in diameter.

How much light it gives and of what kind

The luminaire draws 19.5 W, of which 16.8 W goes to the LED module itself, and delivers 2667 lm at 3000 K — warm white with a slightly yellow cast. Efficiency of the whole luminaire is 136.8 lm/W.

Distribution comes from a Ledil VSM lens with an IESNA type V characteristic: wide and symmetrical around the column. The manufacturer intends the model for lighting private grounds, parks and architectural settings. One per cent of the flux escapes upwards (ULOR 1%, BUG rating B2-U2-G1), which matters where local rules limit light directed at the sky.

Control, operating conditions and service

The driver supports DALI2 and the NightDim function, so the column can be tied into the control of a whole installation and dimmed at night. The driver leaves the factory programmed for the maximum permitted current; changing the other parameters requires contact with the Norlys sales department.

The luminaire is rated IP65 and IK08. Protection class I means the installation needs a protective earth conductor. The manufacturer quotes 100,000 h for the driver and L90B10 above 100,000 h for the LED module. A qualified person replaces the LED module and the driver using service set ZS5200zx0010, so a failed light source does not mean replacing the whole column.
