Black LED ceiling light V-TAC VT-8624 24W 30 cm 3000K IP44 2500 lm

V-TAC VT-8624 is a round black surface-mounted ceiling light with a white diffuser and an integrated LED module. It measures 29.5 cm in diameter and only 6 cm in height, so it stays close to the ceiling after installation. The body is made from PP, the diffuser from PMMA, and the complete fitting weighs 0.727 kg.

Light output from the VT-8624

The LED module uses 24 W and delivers 2500 lm, allowing the fitting to provide general illumination in a corridor, bathroom, office or shop. Its fixed 3000 K output is warm white with a slight yellow tone. The light is neither dimmable nor colour-tuneable, so its brightness and colour cannot be changed with a switch or controller. The LEDs are built in and cannot be replaced like a standard bulb. V-TAC states a 20,000-hour operating life and more than 15,000 switching cycles.

CRI 80 is suitable for typical circulation areas and general lighting, but EPREL declares an R9 value of 10, so saturated reds may look less faithful. Colour consistency is SDCM 6, which means small differences in white tone may be visible when several units are installed next to each other. This is worth considering when lighting one long corridor with a row of fittings.

IP44 and installation area

IP44 provides protection from splashing water but does not make the product fully waterproof. The fitting can be considered for a bathroom in the appropriate electrical zone and for corridors; the manufacturer also mentions offices and shops. Its declared operating range is -20°C to +45°C. It mounts directly onto the ceiling and connects to a fixed 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply.

Operating characteristics

EPREL declares a Pst LM flicker metric of 1.0 and an SVM stroboscopic-effect value of 0.9. These figures are relevant in areas recorded by cameras or containing fast-moving components. The product carries energy class F and a two-year warranty.
