The Norlys Frigga 2152CS is a bollard light 50 cm tall on a 14 × 14 cm base. The fluted aluminium column in a corten finish is topped with a glass cube — crystal glass satin-finished on the inside, so from outside it keeps its cool shine while the light leaves diffused.

All-round light

The head emits in every direction: 304 lm at 2700 K drawing 4.6 W, which is 66.1 lm/W. In absolute terms that is little, and it is meant to be — the bollard does not light the garden, it marks its geometry. Set in a rhythm along a path or a driveway the fittings read as a guiding line, and the warm 2700 K with CRI 80 keeps the night garden nearer candlelight than street lighting. The ULOR figure is 85%, so a substantial share of the flux goes upward — this is a decorative fitting, not a solution for lighting a surface.

Durability and operating conditions

IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets, with sealing handled by an EPDM gland. The operating range is −20 to +45 °C at a rated ambient of TA +35 °C. The construction is protection class I and needs an earth conductor. The glass may take on an amber tone over time — a natural property of the material, not a fault.

Control and installation

The fitting carries a DALI2 interface, so it can join a digital control system and dim along with the rest of the garden installation. The terminals accept conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow loop-through wiring, so further bollards are chained rather than each needing its own circuit. The gland takes round cable up to ø12.5 mm. Inrush current is 6.7 A for 2.4 µs — worth allowing for when sizing protection with many fittings on one circuit. Fixing is through 3 holes of ø9 mm spaced every 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Concrete and ground anchors and mounting adapters are offered separately by the manufacturer.
