Bollard Light NORLYS Stavanger 5010 Aluminium RAL 9006 28 cm LED 8.4W 4000K IP65

Stavanger 5010 is a low bollard light in powder-coated cast aluminium finished in RAL 9006, with a clear UV-stabilised polycarbonate lens. The fixture stands 28 cm high on a 20 × 20 cm footprint and sends its light downwards, symmetrically all round the post.

Size and mounting

At 28 cm the fixture lights the strip of surface immediately around it — it marks out a path or the edge of a driveway rather than lighting a whole garden. The 20 × 20 cm footprint is the figure to compare with the kerb or paving slab it is to stand on.

It is fixed with three screws through ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø145 mm circle. The anchors and foundation adapters — ground anchor, concreting anchor, concrete-foundation adapter and mounting adapter — are sold separately by the manufacturer, so one has to be chosen for the ground and bought with it. The terminals take up to 3 × 2.5 mm², or 3 × 1.5 mm² when looping the supply through; the gland accepts a round cable 8–17 mm in diameter.

The light it gives

The LED module draws 6.6 W and the whole fixture 8.4 W. The manufacturer publishes two flux figures: the module itself makes 854 lm, and 351 lm leaves the fixture through the optic and lens — light aimed strictly downwards onto the surface, not spilled sideways or into the sky.

4000 K is neutral white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough to read paving and planting after dark. The fixture is dimmable on trailing-edge control — that calls for a dimmer working in that mode; an ordinary incandescent dimmer will not do.

Durability and servicing

IP65 means dust-tight and resistant to water jets, and IK10 is the top impact class on that scale, which is what makes this fixture usable in public spaces as well. The cast aluminium body, the silicone gasket and the nylon-6 cable gland hold the seal; the manufacturer gives a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty.

The fixture is protection class I, so the circuit must carry an earth conductor. The declared module life exceeds 70,000 hours, and both the LED module and the driver are replaceable — by a qualified person.
