CAFEE' is a pendant lamp with a wide, flattened fabric shade in a mocha shade, laid in vertical panels gathered at the top and at the bottom. The canopy and the cable are black and stand clearly apart from the light brown shade.
How big it is and how low it hangs
The shade is 52 cm across and 23 cm high. Over a table 80–90 cm wide a 40 cm shade keeps good proportions, so these 52 cm mark the table area clearly and suit a wider table rather than a narrow console.
The manufacturer gives a total height of 120 cm: 95 cm of that is the cable between canopy and shade, the rest is the shade itself. The canopy is 8 cm across. The lower edge of a shade is usually set 70–80 cm above the tabletop, which over a 75 cm table means roughly 145–155 cm above the floor — hold that figure against your own ceiling height.
One E27 socket and the bulb to buy
The lamp has a single E27 socket, runs on 230 V, 50 Hz, and the manufacturer states a maximum of 40 W. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself: 2700–3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light, 4000 K a neutral one. Over a dining table the first is the usual choice.
The shade is gathered at both top and bottom, so the light spreads through the fabric instead of falling as a narrow beam — the manufacturer describes the effect as soft light, and intends the fitting for quiet background lighting rather than task light.
Materials and the rooms it is meant for
The suspension and the shade frame are metal, the shade itself is sewn from fabric. The black canopy with mocha textile is the combination the manufacturer names for Scandinavian, modern and Japandi interiors, where brown sits easily with wood, white and beige.
Candellux intends CAFEE' above all for the dining table, and secondarily for the living room and the bedroom. The model belongs to the Candellux Studio line.
