DORRIA LE46028 is a ceiling light 50 cm across: a flat, slightly domed metal body in a deep, muted red, closed underneath by a full-width acrylic diffuser. It is the largest diameter in the DORRIA series.
Size and mounting
The fitting is 50 cm in diameter and comes 15 cm down from the ceiling. A 50 cm circle has to be planned for in the ceiling plan — under a beam or a sloped ceiling the diameter is the first figure to check, and the 15 cm depth adds to the room height in a low room.
It mounts straight to the ceiling. The canopy is 20 cm across and 4 cm high, which covers a standard junction box together with the connections.
How much light it gives, and of what kind
The source is a single built-in LED module of 36 W giving 1837 lm — slightly more than two old 60 W bulbs together, so main light for a room rather than a supplement. The module cannot be swapped out the way a bulb can.
The colour temperature is 2700 K: warm, faintly yellow, close to a traditional incandescent bulb. It lights through the whole underside, because the diffuser covers the entire base of the 50 cm circle — the light leaves it scattered, with no defined beam and no visible bright point.
Dimming and build
The maker provides for TRIAC dimming, that is, control from a leading-edge wall dimmer. Without such a dimmer in the circuit the fitting simply runs at full output — the module itself has no remote and no wireless control.
The body combines steel and aluminium and the cover is acrylic. The colour is burgundy — the maker's catalogue files it under red, but its own description and photographs show a saturated, dark wine shade. The maker names the living room and the dining room as the places it is intended for.
