DIAMENT 2xE27 is a pendant light with two shades hanging in a row beneath a rectangular chrome ceiling bar. Each shade is a cylinder of vertical strands of cut crystals, hung around a chrome lampholder. The light is made in Poland by Keter Lighting and belongs to the Diament series.
Size and where to hang it
The fitting is 50 cm long, 13 cm wide and 120 cm high overall, measured from the bar at the ceiling to the lower edge of the shades. Subtract those 120 cm from your own ceiling height to see how much space is left underneath for walking past or for a table. The two shades are spread along the 50 cm bar, so they light a strip of that length rather than a single point.
The gross weight including packaging is 1.3 kg. The manufacturer intends the fitting for indoor use only.
Bulbs and light
Each shade takes one E27 bulb of up to 60 W, so you need two for the whole fitting. Bulbs are not included, which means you choose the colour and brightness yourself; for a living room or hallway, warm light of 2700–3000 K is the usual choice.
The shades are see-through: the bulb is visible through the crystals, so its shape becomes part of how the light looks. The cut crystals refract the light and scatter small glints around the fitting. There is no built-in dimmer, so dimming depends on a bulb marked as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit.
Materials and rooms
The frame and ceiling bar are metal with a silver chrome finish. The manufacturer specifies the crystals as K9 crystal, a clear optical glass used in crystal lighting.
The manufacturer classes DIAMENT as a modern design and lists it for the living room, hallway, kitchen and restaurants or cafés. Clear crystals and chrome have no colour of their own, so the tone of the light in the room is set by the bulb you choose.
