Keter Lighting: decorative lamps made in Poland
Keter Lighting is a Polish maker of decorative lighting based in Częstochowa. The company was set up by a young team that wanted to put its experience of the lighting trade into a brand of its own, and its lamps are made by hand in Poland from components that carry EU conformity certificates. The motto it chose says a lot about its approach: quality is remembered far longer than price. Keter designs for modern interiors – living rooms and other rooms, hallways, kitchens and also cafés and restaurants.
Plywood, metal, glass and gold
Plywood is one of the brand's signatures: shades and frames made of plywood and combined with black, white or grey metal. Next to them are glass shades in honey, smoked and white glass, loft-style fittings with gold accents, and glamour pieces with gold or silver accents. Names often carry two-tone colourways, such as black/gold, white/gold, natural/black or wood/black. Several families come in different sizes and as a pendant, a ceiling light and a wall light, with long and short versions of some pendants, so one look can run through a whole flat.

How to choose a Keter lamp
-
Bulbs. Most Keter fittings take replaceable E27, E14 or GU10 bulbs, a few have integrated LED, and bulbs are not included. The number of light points and the maximum wattage per point are given on the product page; add the bulbs to your order.
-
Shade material. Plywood and metal shades send the light mainly downwards; glass lets more of it through, and honey or smoked glass gives a warmer, softer glow.
-
Length and number of shades. Over a long table, choose a bar pendant with several shades or a long version; in a small room, a single shade or a compact ceiling light.
-
Indoor use. The fittings are rated IP20 and are meant for dry indoor rooms.
