Florence 800 is a classically drawn outdoor wall lantern: a conical shade hung from a curved arm, with a clear teardrop polycarbonate bowl beneath it. The body is a powder-painted aluminium casting and the supply cable enters through an EPDM gland.
Size and how it mounts
The lantern stands 53 cm tall, projects 40 cm from the wall and its shade measures 25 cm across. With that much reach it is worth checking beforehand how much clear space is left beside a front door or above a narrow passage. It weighs 1.9 kg and fixes with four screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 25 × 140 mm.
The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm² and the gland a round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter — a figure to compare with the cable already coming out of the wall. The maker also allows mounting on a building corner; the corner bracket 152XX0009 is made for that and is sold separately.
Which lamp you have to buy
The lantern takes one E27 lamp of up to 9 W in LED form. No lamp is included. The maker permits an A55–A60 bulb shape, the classic pear — a wider decorative globe or a long candle lamp falls outside that specification.
Norlys also offers the fitting as an order variant with a Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K, and that is the brightness and colour it was designed around: 806 lm matches the old 60 W incandescent and 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light. The lamp stays visible below the shade, which sends most of the light downwards.
Build and life outdoors
Ingress protection IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so the lantern can hang on an unsheltered facade. The bowl is UV-stabilised polycarbonate, which yellows more slowly in full sun than plain plastic.
The fitting is protection class II, so it needs no earth connection — live and neutral are enough. The shade itself is a manufacturer spare part, number 06370797, so a breakage does not mean replacing the whole lantern.
