GEOMETRIC W0233D wall light, black, LED 45 W 2700 lm 3000 K, dimmable, 70 x 54 cm

Geometric W0233D is a wall light built from three narrow rectangular aluminium frames that do not touch but pass through one another. The composition measures 70 cm wide and 54 cm high, yet stands only 9 cm off the wall. Everything is black.

The light is a line, not a point

The inner edges of the frames are filled with LED strips hidden behind milky acrylic. What lights is not a bulb in a shade but the outline of each frame — a drawing of glowing edges appears on the wall while the profiles themselves stay dark.

The milky acrylic diffuses the strips so the edges are evenly bright along their whole length, with no visible diode dots. It is the same device that decides, in any linear fitting, whether you see light or a row of LEDs.

How much light it gives

The fitting draws 45 W and gives 2700 lm at 3000 K — warm white. That is a lot for a wall light: 2700 lm is roughly three traditional 100 W bulbs, so Geometric can serve as a room's main light source rather than only an accent on the wall.

Colour rendering is Ra 80. Efficacy comes to about 60 lm/W at energy class G — the acrylic in front of the strips holds back part of the output, which is the price of soft, glare-free light.

Dimming: what is included and what is not

The maker supplies the driver and a dimmable LED module — the fitting is built for TRIAC dimming. What is not included is the wall dimmer; it has to be bought separately and chosen for TRIAC, that is leading-edge, control.

The LEDs are permanently built in and cannot be replaced. It runs on 230 V, and an IP20 rating places it in dry interiors.

Where to put it

At 9 cm deep the fitting does not intrude into the room despite its large outline — it can go in a corridor, above a sofa, or on a stairwell wall, where anything projecting further would be in the way.

Geometric was recognised at the Dobry Design 2019 awards in the "Living room space" category. The same series includes the white wall light W0234 and the pendant P0272, so several fittings can be combined in one interior.
