Bonte is a pendant light with a matte black metal-alloy ring hung with vertical rods of clear glass in two tiers. Three E14 lampholders sit inside the ring, and the whole fitting hangs on three thin cables below a round black ceiling canopy.
Size and hanging height
The shade is 32 cm in diameter and 28 cm tall, and the overall height including the suspension is 120 cm. Compare that figure with your own ceiling height, since it decides how low the bottom of the glass rods will sit. Over a dining table, 70–80 cm between the tabletop and the bottom edge of the light is the usual rule.
At 32 cm across it suits a smaller table, or works as the single light in a hallway, bedroom or study — the manufacturer also lists the living room, kitchen, dining room and children's room.
Which bulbs, and how much light
The light has three E14 sockets, each rated for a bulb of up to 40 W. Bulbs are not included. The manufacturer allows both conventional and LED bulbs, and the light can be dimmed provided dimmable bulbs and a dimmer are used.
The bulbs are visible through the clear glass, so their shape and colour are part of how the light looks. For a living room or bedroom, 2700–3000 K warm light is the usual choice.
Construction and style
The design pairs matte black metal with glass — the dark ring stands out clearly against the transparent rods. The manufacturer classes Bonte as a modern light.
