PL-PDM is a plastic mounting clip that an aluminium LED profile hangs on. It is screwed to the ceiling, wall or furniture first, and the profile then clips onto it — no drilling through the profile itself and no visible screws in the finished run.
How it works
The part has one screw hole in the middle and two hooks at the sides. The screw is chosen for the substrate — one thing for concrete, another for chipboard, another for plasterboard. The profile is pressed down onto the hooks until it snaps in. Removal is the same in reverse: the profile lifts off without undoing anything, which matters when servicing the LED strip or painting the wall.
A 1.7 kg load — per clip
The maker quotes a load capacity of 1.7 kg for a single clip. That is per part, not per installation, so the number of clips follows from the length and mass of the profile together with its strip and cover. A short section will sit on two; over longer runs they have to be spaced evenly so that the profile does not sag between supports — an aluminium extrusion bends the more, the further apart its supports are.
Which profiles it fits
KLUŚ lists this clip for the profiles PDS-4-ALU (A01718), PDS-4-PLUS (A01263), PDS-O (B3777), MICRO-PLUS (A02966), REGULOR (A18068) and 45-16 (A08504). Check your profile's designation against that list before ordering — the PDS family covers many sections and not all of them take the same clip.
Material and colour
Made of polypropylene (PP) in light grey RAL 7035. The plastic neither conducts nor corrodes, and the light grey disappears against silver-anodised profiles. If the part must be invisible under a dark profile, it is worth checking KLUŚ's range for another colour.
