FI-8-LIN-Z is a KLUŚ suspension mount — a part fixed to a ceiling or another surface, from which LED profiles and luminaires hang on a wire. The body is 48 mm high and 18 mm across at its widest point; its lower section is painted black in RAL 9005, while the bolt with its nuts and brass contact tab stays zinc-plated. The reference number of this version is C28173L07.
How it grips the wire and what it carries
The wire goes into a sleeve 8 mm in diameter and 15.7 mm long and is locked with a set screw — so you set the suspension height steplessly by pushing the wire in or pulling it out, without cutting it to a fixed length.
The manufacturer states a load capacity of 10 kg per mount. Compare that figure with the weight of the suspended luminaire divided by the number of suspension points. The permissible operating temperature is 60°C.
Power through the wire
The mount conducts one pole of the current, so the suspension wire can also carry the supply to the luminaire. A complete circuit therefore needs two of these mounts and two wires — one for the live pole, one for the neutral. The contact is the brass tab seated under the nut, to which the conductor is connected.
Fitting and what to buy alongside
The accessory kit for screwing the mount to the surface is included, and the manufacturer also provides for mounting in plasterboard. The suspension wire itself is a separate item in the KLUŚ catalogue — for example the FI-1 steel wire, 1 m long, ref. C24522N00. The mount also comes in silver (C28173N00) and white (C28173L10), so the fixing can be matched to the colour of the profile.
