The Koster 1913GR is a post-top luminaire: a dome-shaped head 24.5 cm in diameter on a straight arm, in graphite RAL 7016. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, closed underneath by a diffuser of clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate.
Which pole, and how big
The luminaire slips 80 mm deep onto a pole spigot 60 mm in diameter. From the edge of the sleeve to the outer edge of the shade the head measures 45 cm, and it is 24.5 cm tall. The pole is not included. The luminaire weighs 3.25 kg.
A 4.3 m H05VV-F 3G1 cable leaves the luminaire; it runs down the pole and is connected in a suitable junction box inside the pole. The luminaire is protection class I, so it must be connected to the earth conductor.
How much light, and what kind
Inside is an integrated Philips LED Fortimo DLM module of 17.5 W at 3000 K, a warm white, with CRI 80. The module alone produces 1950 lm and 1568 lm leaves the luminaire — enough to serve as the main lighting for a path, a driveway or the area in front of a house. The manufacturer gives the illuminance distribution for a mounting height of 4 m.
The light is symmetrical and directed downwards, with nothing going up (ULOR 0%), so the luminaire does not brighten the night sky. It is not dimmable. The LED module may only be replaced by a professional service — the manufacturer lists it as a spare part, as it does the diffuser.
Durability
IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from all directions. IK10 is the highest impact resistance on that scale — the housing withstands a 20 J impact.
