LAGOM 150 is a linear wall light 151 cm long, 7 cm wide and only 4 cm deep. The body is aluminium in matt beige — a tone warmer than white, which neither disappears against plaster nor contrasts harshly with it.

The maker states a colour rendering index of Ra 98. The scale ends at 100, which is daylight; a typical domestic fitting sits at Ra 80, a good one at Ra 90. Ra 98 means colours under this light are practically indistinguishable from those seen by day.

That has specific uses: a wall of paintings or photographs, a wardrobe where colours are matched, a mirror where complexion is judged, a kitchen where the state of food is read from its colour. Elsewhere the difference between Ra 90 and Ra 98 will likely go unnoticed — worth knowing what the money buys.
