Thoro is a Polish lighting brand that calls itself a premium producer, with its company seat in Budzyń, Greater Poland. Its lamps are designed and made in Poland, and the brand says it works with local suppliers and craftspeople. The look is unmistakably northern: clean geometry, plenty of colour and collection names that sound as if they came from a Nordic map.
Thoro describes its design as minimalist and inspired by Scandinavian design. In practice that means simple forms with one strong idea each: slim LED bars, flat discs, cones and chain-like links. What sets the brand apart is colour. Many models come in the same palette of muted and saturated shades, from white, beige, taupe and mocha to sage, olive green, ochre red, burgundy, peach, pink, yellow and ultramarine, so a pendant, a wall light and a floor lamp can be matched across a room. Thoro credits named designers for several pieces: the ASTRO wall light is the work of Marta Foit, and CHAIN was designed by RYZY STUDIO.
At Lunares the Thoro range covers pendant lights, floor lamps, wall lights and flush ceiling lights. CHAIN is a long linear pendant made of chain-like links; TRANG comes as a straight LED bar pendant in 50, 75 and 100 cm lengths and as a tall floor lamp; FINT is a 50 cm cone pendant. On the wall you will find the round ASTRO disc and the KLOVER, LAHTI and AKE wall lights, and KLOVER also comes as a flush ceiling light.
