Asker DC1310AL is a 55 cm bollard shaped like an inverted L: a slim rectangular profile of painted cast aluminium, topped by a head cantilevered forward with a diffuser recessed in its underside that directs the light straight down.
Note: this is a 24 V fitting, not a 230 V one
The most important thing to know before buying. Asker DC1310 runs on 24 V direct current (DC) and is protection class III — that is, on a safety extra-low-voltage circuit. It must not be connected directly to 230 V mains; a separate 24 V DC power supply is required, sized to the number of fittings and bought separately. In return you get an installation that can run shallow in the ground. The terminals accept conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow looping, so several bollards can be joined into one run.
Half the light stays inside the fitting — and that is the point
The LED module produces 1064 lumens and 533 lm leaves the luminaire. That difference is not a fault but the price of shielding: the head covers the source completely, which is why the ULOR is 0% — not a single lumen goes upward — and the BUG B0-U1-G0 rating confirms the absence of glare. Norlys lists the fitting as dark-sky friendly. Walking past it you do not see the diode, you see the lit surface — that is the difference between a bollard that guides you along a path and one that shines in your eyes.
Light quality and consistency
Colour 3000 K, colour rendering CRI 80, and colour consistency SDCM3. That last figure matters especially for bollards: they are set out in runs of several or dozens, and at SDCM3 the tint differences between individual units fall below the threshold of visibility. The declared service life is 52,330 hours, about 47 years at three hours a day.
Resistance to conditions
IP65 protection (dust-tight and resistant to water jets), mechanical strength IK10 — the top of the scale, rated for a 20 J impact, which for a bollard beside a driveway or path is not theoretical. The ambient temperature range is −30…+50 °C, the full span of a Scandinavian winter. Sealing comes from a silicone gasket and an EPDM gland, and the body is painted cast aluminium. The photobiological risk is classified RG0 — the no-risk group.
Installation needs a separate anchor
The fitting has four ø8 mm holes at 18 × 50 mm spacing in its base and is designed to be bolted down — it has no spike of its own. Norlys offers a concreting anchor (index 1907), a ground anchor (1908) and mounting adapters (3081XX0009 and 3090), all sold separately. It is worth including one in the order straight away, because without it the bollard cannot be set into a lawn. The connecting cable in a round jacket may be 5 to 12 mm in diameter.
Variants and the sister version
Asker DC1310 comes in seven colours: AL aluminium (this model), BL black, CB copper brown, CG cement grey, CS corten steel, GB beige grey and GR graphite. Alongside it runs the DC1309 in the same form but a warmer 2700 K (8.7 W, 543 lm) — worth considering if you want noticeably warmer light.
