The ZAMBELIS 2567 ceiling light is a round disc 40 cm across in the brick shade the manufacturer calls Sandy Brick Red. Two straight, matt black light bars with a built-in LED module run across it. The whole fitting stands 6 cm clear of the ceiling.
How it is mounted
The fitting is surface-mounted — the manufacturer specifies no cutting hole and no depth above the ceiling, so it also suits places where there is no room for a recessed box behind the plasterboard. A 30 × 8 × 4 cm mounting bar hides behind the disc and carries the weight of the luminaire.
It is a safety class I fitting, which means an earth conductor has to reach the connection point. A 40 cm disc takes up as much ceiling as a typical plafond for a small room — a figure worth setting against the distance to the wall and to any other fittings. It ships as a 48 × 48 × 14 cm carton weighing 2.48 kg gross.
How much light it gives
The LED module is permanently built in and delivers 1200 lm, roughly one and a half times the output of an old 60 W bulb. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 matches the standard accepted for general lighting.
The light source cannot be replaced. The manufacturer quotes an L70B50 lifetime of 30,000 hours — at three hours a day that is over twenty years of service. The fitting dims on the TRIAC principle, so it needs a dimmer built to that standard; none is included.
Colours, materials and interiors
The disc is a sandy brick tone, the bars are matt black and their diffusers are opal white — the contrast between those three elements is the only decoration the fitting has. It is built from metal, aluminium and PVC, runs on 220–240 V and draws a supply current of 650 mA.
The plain, geometric form without ornament places this ceiling light among modern and minimalist fittings. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use — for the living room and the bedroom, where the dimming matters most — and covers it with a three-year warranty.
