The VT-402 is a V-TAC LED wall light in a black aluminium housing, with a rotating light head on a short arm and a switch built into the body. The movable head lets you aim the narrow beam exactly where it's needed — for example, onto a book page next to the bed.

Size and mounting

The rectangular base measures 14.5 × 15 × 6 cm and holds both the switch and the wall bracket. The housing is aluminium, which affects both weight and how heat is carried away from the LED. The light mounts on the wall within reach of where you sit or lie — most often at the head of a bed.

How much light it gives, and what kind

The light source is a built-in 2 W LED, powered at 230 V (AC 220–240 V, 50 Hz) — it cannot be swapped for another one. The LED puts out 150 lm at a neutral 4000 K, a colour close to daylight, without a noticeable yellow or blue tint. A colour rendering index of Ra 80+ lets you tell colours apart without strong distortion. The narrow 38° beam angle focuses the light on one spot rather than spreading it across the room, which is why it works as a reading light rather than general room lighting.

Durability and intended use

The manufacturer intends this wall light for the bedroom, mounted above the bed as a reading light — a setup typical of hotel rooms. The switch on the housing is rated for over 15,000 on/off cycles, and the LED itself carries a declared lifetime of 18 years at 3 hours of use per day. The light comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
