The V-TAC VT-28356G LED module is a small, green lighting module with three SMD2835 diodes in an ABS and aluminium housing, rated IP67. It is a component of a lighting system, not a standalone luminaire — it needs a separate 12V DC power supply to operate, which is not included.

What it is for and what to buy alongside it

The module runs on 12V DC and draws 1.5 W, so a separate LED driver of suitable power is needed to power it. The IP67 housing is sealed against short-term submersion in water, which allows the module to be installed both indoors and outdoors — for example to backlight advertising letters, signs or light boxes.

Dimensions and build

The module measures 87 × 15 × 10 mm, roughly the size of a matchbox, which lets it fit inside narrow light-letter profiles. The housing is made of ABS and aluminium.

Colour, brightness and lifespan

The three SMD2835 diodes give a combined 150 lm at a 120° beam angle, producing diffused light without a clear focal point. The module emits green light only — the colour cannot be changed from the module itself. The manufacturer states an average lifetime of up to 18 years assuming 3 hours of use per day, backs the module with a 2-year warranty, and it carries CE, EMC and RoHS certification.
