Lighting pole TRYSIL NORLYS 1054BL black LED 8.4 W 3000 K DALI2 263 cm

TRYSIL 1054BL is a lighting pole 263 cm tall, built from an extruded aluminium profile powder-coated black (RAL 9005). At the top an arm cants out to one side and ends in a flat luminaire head closed with clear, UV-stabilised polycarbonate. There is an anchor plate at the foot.

Size and foundation

The whole structure measures 263 cm high, 71 cm long including the arm and 24 cm across the head. The light point therefore sits well above adult eye level, and the maker computed the light distribution for exactly that 2.63 m mounting height.

The pole weighs 17.2 kg and ships in a 44 × 38 × 232 cm carton. The ground fixing has to be bought separately: Norlys lists a mounting adapter (index 1259), a ground anchor (180) and a concreting anchor (3091). None of them is in the box.

How much light it gives

The luminaire puts out 1081 lm for 8.4 W, which works out at 128.7 lm/W. 3000 K is warm white light, and a colour rendering index of Ra 70 is enough for walkways and driveways, though not for work where colours have to be right.

The distribution comes from a Ledil VSM lens, a wide symmetric IESNA type V pattern: the light lays down in a circle around the pole rather than in one direction. The LED module is built in — source and control gear can be replaced, but the maker reserves that for a qualified electrician. Module and driver are both rated at 100,000 h.

DALI2 control

The pole carries a built-in DALI driver with a NightDim function. Dimming is digital over the DALI-2 bus, so a gateway or DALI controller is needed — an ordinary phase dimmer on the circuit will not work. The driver arrives programmed to the maximum permitted current.

Build and connection

The housing is rated IP65 and IK10, so it takes rain, hosing down and impact — figures aimed at public space, not a covered terrace. The luminaire is protection class I, which means the earth conductor has to be connected.

The terminals accept conductors up to 5 × 4 mm², and looping further poles through up to 5 × 2.5 mm². The gland is sized for a round cable of at most 13.6 mm diameter. Supply is 230 V mains.
