Lucide CLAIRE outdoor wall light with motion & day/night sensor white IP54 E27 27883/11/31

CLAIRE is an outdoor wall light shaped like a boxy lantern: a white powder-coated metal frame with clear glass panes at the sides and front, and the E27 lampholder visible inside. A motion sensor combined with a day/night sensor sits on the underside of the housing.

Size and wall mounting

The body is 29 cm high, 14 cm wide and projects 16 cm from the wall; that last figure is the one to compare with the walkway beside your front door or the depth of a recess. The height is not adjustable.

The fitting mounts on a rectangular wall plate of 29 × 14 × 1.5 cm, and the fixing materials are included. IP54 allows it to sit on an unsheltered wall, and protection class I means the back box must carry an earth conductor.

How the sensor works

The PIR motion sensor covers 100° and picks up movement up to 8 m away, so it responds to someone at the door rather than to the whole length of a driveway. The time the light stays on after a detection is set anywhere between 5 seconds and 8 minutes.

A second sensor measures ambient brightness and blocks switching during the day, so the light only comes on after dusk. The supply itself is switched by an ordinary wall switch.

Light source

The fitting takes one E27 lamp of up to 15 W at 230 V — a ceiling imposed by the closed glass housing rather than a suggestion. No bulb is included; the manufacturer recommends the ST64 filament LED at 4.9 W and 2200 K in amber glass, because the clear panes leave the lamp fully on show.

The light can be dimmed, but that needs a dimmable bulb and a dimmer in the installation: the fitting carries no dimming electronics of its own.

Build

The frame is metal powder-coated in white, with clear glass closing the sides and front, so the light spreads in every direction rather than in one. The manufacturer gives two years of warranty on the fitting and sells CLAIRE glass panes separately as a spare part.
