YORK is a Lucide outdoor wall light shaped as a vertical half-cylinder in matt powder-coated aluminium, finished rust brown. Two open channels are cut into the top edge of the body, and light leaves them both upward and downward. The fitting is 11 cm high, 5.8 cm wide and stands 7 cm off the wall.

How large it is and where to put it

At 11 cm high and 5.8 cm wide it sits within the outline of a typical back box, so it does not oversail a narrow fence post or a door reveal. The 7 cm depth is the distance from the wall face — about a hand's width; along a façade walkway that is the figure to compare with the clearance in front of the masonry.

The mounting plate is 1 × 7 × 11 cm and covers the opening in the wall. Protection class I means a protective earth conductor must be connected. The box includes the LED driver and a screwdriver; a wall switch is not supplied — Lucide specifies control by the installation switch only, with no remote and no motion sensor.

How much light YORK gives

Four integrated LEDs at 4 × 1.2 W emit 2700 K, a warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional incandescent lamp. Each point delivers 48 lm, so the fitting as a whole is 192 lm: a wash across the wall, not lighting for an entire terrace. The 115° beam spreads that light widely over the façade, up and down.

The sources are built in and are not user-replaceable; the manufacturer states a 30 000-hour life, about 27 years at three hours a day. The fitting cannot be dimmed — neither the electronics nor the light source allow it. Supply is 230 V mains.

Outdoors, without an extra canopy

IP54 means dust-tightness and protection against splashing water from any direction, so the light can hang on a façade, a fence or beside an entrance with no porch above it. The body is a single piece, with no glass shade; the finish is matt rust brown.

Lucide specifies YORK for outdoor use. The warranty on the fitting is 3 years. The light source energy class is G.
