Lucide TONI 29934/02/15 rechargeable wall spotlight with motion sensor, LED 2 W CCT, grey

Lucide TONI 29934/02/15 is a rechargeable wall spotlight with a motion sensor: a grey aluminium tube holding an LED, mounted on a round black wall plate 8.1 cm across. It needs no connection to the mains wiring — a built-in battery powers it.

Power, charging and mounting

The lamp runs on a non-replaceable 2200 mAh lithium-ion battery which, according to the manufacturer, lasts about 10 hours at full output and recharges in 4 hours. The light is held on its wall plate by magnets, so for charging you lift it off the wall without unscrewing anything. The charging port is USB-C, in the base of the fitting.

The plate can be fixed anywhere on a wall, because no cable has to be brought to it — useful beside a bed, in a hallway or on a wall with no junction box. The fitting projects 5.9 cm from the wall and weighs 0.24 kg.

What light it gives and how it is controlled

The 2 W LED delivers 120 lm — light for reading or for finding your way at night, not for lighting a whole room. The 2.9 cm tube rotates and tilts, so the beam can be aimed at a book, a picture or the floor. A colour rendering index of Ra 90 keeps colours true.

A touch button on the fitting dims the light and switches the colour between 2700 K, warm and slightly yellow, and 4000 K, neutral white. The PIR motion sensor switches the lamp on when someone passes, and it can be turned off if the light should only come on when asked. The LED is built in permanently; the manufacturer states a life of 50,000 hours and energy efficiency class G.

Where it fits

The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry interiors. The manufacturer names the bedroom, living room and hallway, and describes the style as modern — a smooth cylinder and a flat disc without ornament, in a matt powder-coated finish. TONI also comes in black and in a coffee colour, and version 29933 is the same wall light without the motion sensor.
