You dim it by touching the lamp

This is the feature that makes the model worth considering: brightness is controlled **by touch on the fitting**, not by a dimmer in the wall or a remote. There is no swapping the wall plate, no chasing, no hunting for a spare core in the wiring — the sconce goes onto an ordinary circuit and is controlled by hand, where it shines. On a reading light above a bed or beside an armchair that is more convenient than a dimmer by the door, because the level changes where the light is actually used.

Diffuse light, a rotating head

Lucide classifies the light direction as **diffuse, all around** — the fitting makes no sharp beam but soft light about itself, from a shade 10 cm across. The head **rotates horizontally**, so after installation the stronger part of the output can be aimed. At 200 lumens this is mood and accent lighting: it will bring out the texture of a wall, light a picture, or serve for close reading, but it will not replace a main light.

Taupe, matt, powder

The colour is **taupe** — a grey-brown between beige and graphite, in a **matt powder-coated** finish. A matt powder coat does not throw point reflections and is harder than lacquer, so it survives dusting without marks. Taupe belongs where black would be too much contrast and white would vanish into the wall — on warm-toned plaster, next to timber, beside linen. The shade is taupe inside as well, so the reflected light carries the same warm tone.
