Lumines LOGI LED profile 1 m, black lacquered, surface wall-mounted, 40.6 × 63.8 mm, strip 2 × 12 mm

LOGI is a wall-mounted LED profile in black lacquered aluminium, with a triangular 40.6 × 63.8 mm section and a length of 1 m. It throws light directionally along the wall, and the manufacturer rates its glare level as reduced — the light goes onto the surface rather than into the eyes of anyone standing under it.

How much strip it takes

The manufacturer gives the strip width as 2 × 12 mm: the inclined 28.1 mm face holds two 12 mm strips side by side. One is enough for a soft wash down the wall, two double the number of diodes per metre when a taller surface has to be lit or two light colours combined in one run. The chamber under the cover is 9.9 mm deep.

The aluminium draws heat away from the strip, so it runs cooler than one stuck straight onto the wall and loses output more slowly. The driver goes outside the profile and needs a place of its own in a back box, in the suspended ceiling or in a cabinet.

Mounting and finishing the wall

The profile fixes onto the dedicated SPARO mounting profile (1 m: 10-0544-10), which is screwed to the wall. The long thin wing at the bottom is meant to be plastered in: in the manufacturer's scheme it disappears under mesh, filler and paint, so the finished wall shows a narrow edge and the line of light rather than a housing. Only the surfaces that stay exposed are lacquered.

Sections can be joined — the straight connector 14-3032-02 is there for that, so a line longer than a metre is built from several profiles. The profile is unsealed and rated IP20, which keeps it to dry interiors.

What to buy with it

The box holds the 1 m profile alone. The DOUBLE cover has its own catalogue numbers and finishes: transparent (PMMA 11-2073-10), frosted (11-2072-10), milky (11-2071-10), frosted milky (11-2076-10) and black (11-2077-10). The milky one turns the row of diodes into a single line, the transparent one passes the most light and leaves the dots visible. Aluminium end caps are bought separately for the left and the right side, with or without a cable opening (black with opening: 12-0522-10 and 12-0532-10). Neither the LED strip nor the driver is included.
