LUMINES: aluminium LED profiles designed and made in Poland
LUMINES Lighting is a Polish brand owned by LED Labs SA, a Kraków-based LED lighting company. The brand was created in 2013, when the company started producing its own aluminium profiles, and it describes itself simply: a Polish brand that designs and manufactures in Poland. Its specialism is linear light made to any length. LUMINES makes profiles for LED strips together with the diffusers, end caps, clips and suspension sets that complete them, ready-made LED kits and pre-bent profile rings, as well as the GENESIS magnetic 48 V track and the ELYSIUM three-phase track spotlights.
A profile for every surface
LUMINES groups its profiles by where they go. There are mini and furniture profiles for shelves, wardrobes and kitchen units, and surface-mounted and suspended profiles for ceilings. For plasterboard there are recessed and plaster-in profiles, which give a trimless line of light flush with the ceiling. Further groups cover walls, stairs, floors you can walk on, façades, skirting and glass panels, and there are systems designed to be cast into concrete. Model names are short – single letters such as B, U or W, or words like SFERO, FLEXA and MICO – and many shapes come in both surface and recessed versions. Bendable profiles follow curved walls and furniture.
LUMINES at Lunares
At Lunares you will find LUMINES LED profiles in anodised silver and black, lacquered silver and matt gold, with matching LED strip end caps (with or without a cable hole), LED channel diffusers in frosted and milky (opal) versions, mounting springs, clips and suspension sets. Next to them are LED power supplies and drivers, LED strip lights, cable, and finished luminaires such as recessed lights, linear lights, surface-mounted fittings and LED floodlights.
How to choose a LUMINES profile
-
Mounting. Start with the surface: furniture, a solid ceiling, plasterboard or concrete. Plaster-in profiles need fitting before the ceiling is finished; surface profiles can go in at any time.
-
Inner width. The channel has to take the width of your LED strip. A wider, deeper channel spreads the light better and runs cooler.
-
Diffuser. A clear cover gives the most light, but you see the diodes. Frosted and opal covers give a smooth, even line, especially with SMD strips.
-
Complete set. End caps, covers and clips are specific to each profile type, so order them in the same family and finish.
-
Feed and driver. Plan where the power supply will sit and how the cable will leave the profile. Then size the driver to the total strip wattage, with a margin.
