The LUMINES mounting spring, catalogue number 14-5001-00, is a fixing element for recessed LED profiles. It is a bent wire bow ending in two torsion springs, each of which finishes in a flat tab with a screw hole.
How it holds the profile in the build-up
LUMINES specifies mounting springs for recessing the profile into plasterboard construction — on the inSO profile data sheet this method sits alongside screw fixing, suspension and push-fit. The flat tabs are screwed to the profile and the bow presses against the board from its hidden side.
No screws are left visible on the face of the ceiling or wall, and the edge of the profile finishes flush with the board. The opening has to be cut to the profile's size beforehand.
Which profiles it belongs to
LUMINES lists this spring among the accessories of the inSO, SORGA and SUBLI profiles. The product parameters give a wider list of compatible systems, including inTALIA, inLARGO, TIANO and FLARO.
LUMINES profiles are sold without mounting parts — the strip, the cover, the end caps and the fixings are separate articles from the same system. The spring is therefore ordered alongside the profile.
